“The people of Benue North-East deserve a senator who listens, who fights, and who delivers — not just promises.”— Unongo, Senatorial Aspirant
Born on 5 October 1985 in Katsina-Ala, Fidelis Msughter Unongo is the son of the legendary Wantaregh Paul Iyorpuu Unongo, OFR — the “Son of the Soil” and one of Nigeria’s foremost statesmen. Armed with a BSc in International Relations and an MSc in Peace and Conflict Resolution, he has dedicated his career to transforming communities from within.
As founder of the Iveren Foundation, he facilitated the Benue Fashion Hub — generating 48,000 jobs across the state — and partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to empower 3,500 women entrepreneurs. He has awarded 145 scholarships and brokered a $1 million charcoal export deal for local farmers. Today he serves as Special Adviser to the Governor of Benue State.
Now he brings this proven record of delivery to the Senate — to fight for every farmer, every mother, every young person in Benue North-East Senatorial District.
